Questions Save Lives. Over 31,000 Canadians die every year because of harm in healthcare. The Canadian Patient Safety Institute engaged healthcare providers and patients across the country asking what question they would ask in order to save a life. This campaign received millions of hits during Canadian Patient Safety Week. Through Twitter, gamification, videos and publications come and hear how to make a social media and awareness campaign have a lasting impact to drive large scale change. You might even learn how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe in healthcare.

As the Senior Director, Strategic Communications for CPSI, Cecilia is dedicated to the mission of safe healthcare for all Canadians.
Cecilia has worked in healthcare communications for over 15 years and joined CPSI from a senior role in public affairs at Capital Health, Edmonton area. She has experience in acute care, rural care, geriatrics, rehab, long-term care, home care, supportive living, and public health. Cecilia is the executive lead on Canadian Patient Safety Week, celebrated annually across Canada at the end of October.
With a diploma in advertising and public relations and a degree in public relations, Cecilia has held various communications positions over the past 15 years, including at the Alberta Public Affairs Bureau.
Born and raised in Calgary, Cecilia is a mountain girl at heart but considers Edmonton home. Passionate about arts and culture and all things active, she can be found cross country skiing, seeing a good show, or making her community a better place. Cecilia is currently serving as the president of the Canadian Public Relations Society - Edmonton Chapter.
